I would definitely recommend Takeuchi sensei. She has been very conversational and warm which makes it easy to speak with her in Japanese. Also very encouraging and kind. I gained confidence reading a novel and got much better at writing essays with her guidance. She would never talk down to her students and seldom capitulates to English; to the contrary, I always felt like she listened to what I had to say and made an effort to help me understand Japanese social sensibilities. She has a way of explaining things that makes them approachable and natural, appealing to common sense rather than rules.
