Hi! My name is Saiko. After receiving a degree in English from Kobe University of Foreign Studies, I decided to become a Japanese teacher. I completed the 420-hour Japanese teaching course in 2017 and passed the government''s Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test. I enjoy teaching students of any level. I am a fairly fluent English speaker, so absolute beginners are more than welcome. I would love to walk you through getting started with your studies! I also have experience teaching advanced students as well as teaching interpreting from Japanese to English. I''m happy to adapt my teaching style to fit my students'' goals. I look forward to meeting you and helping you develop and deepen your Japanese skills! Yoroshiku onegaishimasu!
I love watching movies and listening to music. My favorite movie is a Ghibli animated film called Pom Poko. I love all kinds of cinema from animated films to horror. I listen to a wide range of music and I also write the club section of Kansai Scene. If you need advice about where to see live music or which club to go to on the weekend, I can help! I also love visiting temples and I am currently studying Japanese Buddhist painting. My favorite place to visit in Kansai is Mount Koya in Wakayama. I highly recommend it!
I have been working at a school and teaching private students for a year.
I am currently using the textbook ''''Minna no Nihongo'''', but I also focus on conversation paractice. Feel free to discuss your goals and preferences with me during the demo lesson.
